Shenandoah County lies in the northern Shenandoah Valley with the Massanutten Mountain running through its center. The county provides excellent deer and turkey hunting on both private valley farmland and public mountain land. Shenandoah is within the CWD management area, and hunters must adhere to chronic wasting disease testing and carcass transport regulations.
