Crooked Creek WMA is one of the larger WMAs in southwest Virginia, offering diverse hunting across Carroll County's Blue Ridge Highlands. The area features excellent deer, turkey, and bear hunting, with particularly good grouse habitat in the high-elevation laurel and rhododendron thickets. A 100-acre lake provides fishing and limited waterfowl hunting opportunities. The expansive acreage allows hunters to spread out and find relatively unpressured areas.
