Dick Cross Wildlife Management Area
WMA · Carroll · Southwest Virginia
Dick Cross WMA lies in the Blue Ridge Highlands of Carroll County, offering hunting at elevations above 3,000 feet. The area is well-known for quality grouse and woodcock hunting in the high-elevation cover types. Deer and turkey hunting are also productive, especially along the edge habitats where forest meets old fields. The higher elevations provide cooler conditions and a slightly different hunting experience than lower-lying areas.
