This district offers diverse hunting from ridgetop bear hunting to valley-bottom turkey and deer hunting. The James River Face Wilderness provides a unique Appalachian Trail hunting experience with dramatic cliff faces. Several popular campgrounds provide base camp options for multi-day hunts throughout the fall season.
